"This site
contains all published fragments of Ancient Greek music which contain more than a few scattered notes. All of them are recorded under the use of tunings whose exact ratios have been transmitted to us by ancient theoreticians (of the Pythagorean school, most of them cited by Ptolemaios)." (RealAudio samples and MIDI files.)

American Mavericks
for modern-music-loving monkeys. Listen online if you dare! I have a hard time getting used to Suzanne Vega telling me about Milton Babbit.

The Science of Getting Rich.
Certainly not scientific, and probably not what you are expecting. Capitalist mysticism? Alas, the other titles by the wonderfully named Wallace D. Wattles, such as The Science of Well-Being and The Science of Being Excellent, are not available on-line.

So, my fellow monkeys, put your folkie caps on... What is folk music?

Curious George -
I just enjoyed a great link by homunculus and I am very happy that Gyan (the music man) and languagehat are here to share their perspectives and fun links with us. I seem to remember seeing other MeFites posting here. How many other Metafilter members eventually signed up here when we were remarked upon over at that other site? Are there any others willing to "come out"?

Saltacol
is a lovely Flash game that I posted here in the early days. I wish there was more imagination and creativity like this in the world of Flash games. Have any other monkeys found games "like" this that you recommend? I hope more recent MoFites will enjoy Saltacol. Be warned: it is frustrating and addictive and might take a while to solve. Kind of like The Chasm...
